Our History
The Sullivan Funeral Home is a family owned business that has been serving those in need for over 90 years. The original Sullivan Funeral Home was founded in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge in the 1920’s by Lawrence E. Sullivan. The Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home was established in the town of Burlington in 1958 by Edward V. Sullivan and his wife Theresa. Edward’s son Kevin joined the business in 1984. Janet Sullivan Fitzgerald joined the business in 2001.
Our business growth over the years is the direct result of our personal services. We focus on the services we provide not the products we sell. We are here to assist families in their time of grief and to create a meaningful funeral service for their loved one.
The families we serve often send warm thank you notes to express their appreciation for our compassionate and professional services. We are proud that people recognize our efforts on their behalf.
We strive to make a difference in people’s lives during a most difficult time. The thank you letters, phone calls and kind words are testimonials of our hard work.
