Theodore William "Ted" Lichoulas

Theodore W. “Ted” Lichoulas, 71, of Reading died on Saturday, May 23.  He had been recuperating at a rehab hospital where he caught Covid-19.   He fought it for about a month before succumbing to complications from Covid-19.

 

Ted was born in Woburn and graduated from WHS with the Class of ’67.  He attended Wentworth Institute and Bentley College, graduating with an accounting degree. He moved to Reading about 40 years ago.

 

 Ted had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor, often leaving family, friends, and many a health care provider shaking their head and smiling.  He was a voracious reader of mysteries, history, suspense novels and National Geographic magazines. He enjoyed watching History channel and anything about past battles, wars and shipping.  He collected sailing ship models which were displayed throughout his home.

 

Ted is survived by his daughter, Michelle L. Moran, and his grandson, Johnny Moran Ziegelbauer, of Libertyville, IL, who were the sunshine in his life, and a son, Teddy (wife Cyndi) and grandson, Riley, of South  Carolina.  Also survived by his siblings, James T. and his wife Rita of Reading; Richard and his wife Rosemarie; Vicky and her husband John; Al and his wife Catherine; Mara, and sister-in-law, Roberta, all of Woburn, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his two favorite aunts, Eva Lichoulas of Woburn and Kitty Callahan of Florida, and his best friend, Steve Pappas, of Salem. He was predeceased by his parents James and Agnes, and his brother John.
