Obituary of Sebastiano Lombardo

Sebastiano A. “Yanno” Lombardo, a resident of Burlington for 50 years, passed away at the Blair House in Tewksbury on Saturday afternoon, April 7, 2007. He was 89 years old. Mr. Lombardo was born in Weymouth. He was the son of Italian immigrants the late Joseph and Laura Lombardo. He was raised and educated in Medford. Mr. Lombardo was employed as a Mechanic. He worked for many years at M & M Transportation in Somerville as well as ABF Trucking. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the dog track and the horse track. He had traveled throughout the United States and Europe visiting such places as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Florida, California and Bermuda. Mr. Lombardo lived a long and full-life that was filled with many special times spent with this children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Mr. Lombardo is the beloved husband of the late Yolanda (Guariello). He is the loving father of Joseph Lombardo of Burlington, Frank Lombardo & his wife Jean of Billerica, and the late Carol Ann Casey. He is the brother of Josephine Macaluso of CA, Eleanor Calagne of Woburn, Anna Deleo of Medford and the late Jean Piazza. He is the grandfather of Lisa, Stephen, and Laura Lombardo all of Pepperell, Joseph Casey of PA, Brian Casey of FL, and Cheryl Dickey of Pelham, NH. He is the great grandfather of Madison Lombardo, Brandon and Caroline Casey. He is father-in-law of Joseph Casey of FL & NH. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St. BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, April 11 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Interment in Holy Cross-Mausoleum, Malden. Memorials in Yanno’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
