Obituary of Julien Hoffman

Julien P. Hoffman passed away at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, on Sunday evening, March 11, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 58 years old. Julien was born, raised and educated on Long Island, NY. He was the son of the late John E. and Joan Hoffman. He moved to Boston to attend Boston University. While living in Boston he met his future wife Diane. They married and settled in Chelmsford where they raised their two sons. Julien had a successful career in the banking industry working most recently for Sovereign Bank. Although living in the Boston area for over 35 years, Julien never gave up his loyalty to the New York Yankees and was a proud and loyal fan! Julien had many activities he enjoyed such as reading and riding his motorcycle. He had a passion for golfing. Julien and Diane traveled extensively together and had visited such locations as the Mediterranean, Alaska and the Caribbean. But there was no place Julien enjoyed more than their home on Sebago Lake in Maine. At the lake house he enjoyed boating and jet skiing. Julien was the beloved husband of 31 years to Diane (Riccardi). He was the devoted and proud father of Justin Hoffman of New York City and Dave Hoffman of Kittery, ME both formerly of Chelmsford. Brother of Hilde Hoffman Agatstein of NY, the late Philip E., II, and brother-in-law to Henry D. Agatstein. Son-in-law of Joanne Riccardi of Burlington & the late Frank. Brother-in-law of Paul Riccardi & his wife Kathleen of Chelmsford. Uncle of Gregg Agatstein and Lauren & Nicole Riccardi. Great Uncle to Sage Agatstein and the best friend of 50 years to Jeff Asquith. A Memorial Service will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sat. March 17 at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
