He made many friends throughout the years at the Club and enjoyed playing dominos and cards with them. He continued the tradition at the nursing home, playing dominos every Friday with his son-in-law, Julio. Fernando spent the last nine years at the Winchester Nursing Center where he received wonderful and loving care from the staff. Fernando, a man of many nicknames including “Papa Gomes” and “Patrão”, was proud to see that all the sacrifices he made throughout his life positively impacted the lives of his eight children.
