Obituary of Rose Marie Sarno
Rose Marie (Delvecchio) Sarno passed away at the Cambridge Hospital on Tuesday morning, April 18, 2017, the beloved wife of the late Anthony Sarno, she was 92 years old.
Rose was born in Boston. She was raised and educated in the North End of Boston. She married her husband Anthony on October 31, 1948 and settled in Somerville where they would raise their two sons. Rose devoted her life to making a home for her husband and sons. Rose liked to keep busy and had many interests. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and she loved to read with mystery books being her favorite. Rose also enjoyed watching crime shows on television. She was a woman of deep faith and was a born again Christian.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Sarno. She was the loving mother of Anthony Sarno & his wife Claudia of Burlington and Michael Sarno & his wife Maria of Somerville. She was the proud grandmother of Andrea Moon, Sheny Marks, Natalie Kelly, and Mallory Sarno. Rose was the great grandmother of Sean and Seamus. Sister of the late Victor & Ralph Delvecchio, Grace Ferranti & Ann Greenleaf.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Friday, April 21 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday April 22 at 9 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be held in St. Bernard’s in Concord.
