Obituary of Mary Christiansen

Mary (D’Errico-Lisio) Christiansen passed away at the Winchester Hospital early Monday morning, October 29, 2007 after a long illness. She was 87 years old. Mary was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Angelo and Louisa D’Errico. Her family to the United States when she was 9 months old and settled in Arlington. She was raised and educated in Arlington. She had resided in Burlington and Woburn. Mary had a number of interests and activities. She enjoyed camping, especially in Maine. She loved playing Bingo with her friends. She enjoyed spending time at the Burlington Council on Aging where she volunteered her time and partook in many of the functions and activities at the BCOA. She loved to shop was always looking for a special treat for one of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a Red Sox fan and very appropriately passed away shortly after the Red Sox won the World Series. Mary was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Mary was the wife of the late Kurt Christiansen and John Lisio. Loving mother of Joseph Lisio & his wife Sue of Townsend, Louise & her husband David Price of Woburn, David Christiansen & his wife Sherry of Pepperell, and the late John “Butch” Lisio, Jr. Stepmother of Kathleen Bates of GA. Sister of Lucy Hammond of ME, Albert D’Errico of Tewksbury, the late Laura Fiore, Yolanda Shea, Antoinette, John, and Joseph D’Errico. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, November 2 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the Burlington Council on Aging, 61 Center Street, Burlington, MA 01803.
