Obituary of Lillian Jordan

Lillian F. (Donovan) Jordan passed away at her home on Monday evening, November 12, 2007. The wife of the late William J. Jordan, she was 89 years old. Lillian was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Elizabeth F. Donovan. She was raised and educated in Somerville. Lillian and her late husband William were married on May 10, 1939. They lived for a brief period in Somerville and then eventually settled in Woburn where they lived for 37 years. They moved to Merrimack, New Hampshire in 1991 to be closer to their family. Lillian’s life was devoted to her family. In her early years it was caring for her brothers and sisters after the death of their mother. In later years it was creating a loving home for her husband and three children. She was also a devoted “Nana” to her grandchildren and “Gigi” to her great grandchildren. Lillian was blessed to live a life that spanned 89 years filled with love and happiness. Lillian is the beloved wife of the late late William J. Jordan. She is the loving mother of William J. Jordan, Jr. & his wife Norma of Salem, NH, Robert L. Jordan & his wife Bonnie of Tacoma, WA, and Joyce E. & her husband David Maio of Merrimack, NH. She is the sister of Claire E. Loader of Hillsdale, MI and the late Marie E. Zelles, William, Gerald, Charles and Francis Donovan. Lillian is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt.128, Woburn Side) on Friday, November 16 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 100 Washington St., Woburn, MA 01801. Visiting hours Thursday 6-8 p.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
