Obituary of Eben Hiscock
Eben M. Hiscock, a resident of Burlington for 45 years, passed way at the Lahey Clinic Medical center on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The husband of Lillian R. (Levy), he was 78 years old.
Mr. Hiscock was born, raised and educated in Cambridge. He was the son of the late Simeon and Violet Hiscock. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge and Northeastern University. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving is country in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Hiscock had a successful career as an Electrical Engineer. He worked at the Cambridge Research Labs at Hanscom Air Force Base for 30 years. He specialized in working on telemetry for weather satellites.
Mr. Hiscock was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and spent many days with his sons fishing the nearby lakes, ponds, and rivers. He also coached for the Burlington Recreation Youth Basketball League. Mr. Hiscock was a talented craftsman and took great pleasure in teaching his grandson woodworking. He was a member of the American Legion in Burlington.
Mr. Hiscock was the beloved husband of Lillian R. (Levy) Hiscock. He was the father of James Hiscock & his wife April of Rockport, and the late Bruce Hitchcock. He was the brother of Fred Hiscock of Arlington and the late John and George Hiscock and grandfather of Julia Mooradian, Nicole Sammartino, Danielle Hitchcock & Benjamin Hitchcock. Great grandfather of Ella Mooradian. He was the father-in-law of Francesca Auciello of Reading.
Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, Feb. 25 at 12 Noon. Visiting hours Sunday 3-6 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
