Obituary of Clara DeCarlo

Clara V. DeCarlo, a 48-year resident of Revere, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Thursday night, March 12, 2008. She was 83 years old. Mrs. DeCarlo was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Victor and Giaconda Manni. She grew up and was educated in the North End of Boston. She settled in Revere 48 years ago. Mrs. DeCarlo had a number of interests. She was an avid traveler. Some of her most loved vacations were extended trip to Italy for 4 weeks and her sailing on the maiden voyage of the S.S. France. She also enjoyed trips to the beach and ocean as well as a trip to Cuba. Family was the most important part of her life. She grew up in a house of 9 children that was filled with laughter and enthusiasm. She was the a proud mother and grandmother and was blessed to have seen the birth of her great grandson. She will be lovingly remembered. Mrs. DeCarlo was the beloved wife of the late Louis R. DeCarlo. She was the loving mother of Linda & her husband Gerard Donovan and Louis & his wife Linda DeCarlo all of Burlington. She was the sister of Louis Manni of Ayer, Roy Manni of CA, Henry Manni of Saugus, Victor Manni of Wilmington, John Manni of Tewksbury, Rose Rocca of Billerica, Rita Farrington of Lexington, and Mary Naples of Medford. She was the proud grandmother of Heather Nash, Vincent DeCarlo, Brook Donovan, and Jill DeCarlo and great grandmother of Hunter Nash. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, March 17 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Interment in Cambridge cemetery, Cambridge.
