Robert J. Giovannani, a resident of Burlington for 50 years, passed away at his son's home in Wells Maine on Thursday morning, June 26, 2008. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Giovannani was born in Cambridge. He was the son of the late Sylvio and Regina (Gagnon) Giovannani. He was raised and educated in Somerville. Mr. Giovannani was a member of the Air National Guard. He had a very successful career as a Draftsman working for many years at RCA in Burlington and Agfa in Wilmington. Mr. Giovannani was fortunate to be able to retire at an early age, which allowed him to enjoy many special times with his family.

Mr. Giovannani was the husband of the late Catherine "Kitty" (Kelly). He was the loving father of Robert S. Giovannani of Burlington, Michael J. Giovannani & his wife Lynne of Nashua, Joseph A. Giovannani of Lowell, Thomas L. Giovannani & his wife Amy of Wells, ME. He was the brother of Anthony Giovannani of Somerville and the late Walter McAvoy. He was the grandfather of Chase, Haley, Danielle, Joseph, and Catie.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 10 St. Mark's Road, Burlington on Monday, June 30 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
