Obituary of Charles Hodgdon
Charles G. Hodgdon, a resident of Burlington for 29 years, passed away at his home after a long illness on Sunday evening, August 24, 2008. The husband of Josette (Martin) he was 69 years old.
Charlie was born, raised and educated in Peabody. He was the son of the late Charles and Ruth Hodgdon. He worked as a Machinist and Tool & Die Maker in the manufacturing industry for many years. He was employed by Thermal Electron for 15 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a past member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club. He was also a member of the Billerica Elks. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to France and other European destinations. He was a good friend and neighbor and will be lovingly remembered. Charlie was the husband of Josette (Martin) Hodgdon of Burlington. He was the father of Charles Hodgdon of Peterborough, NH and Scott Hodgdon of Atlanta, GA. He is the brother of Louise Adams of Beverly. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren.
A memorial graveside services will be held at Pine Haven Cemetery, 55 Bedford St., Burlington on Friday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Charlie’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
