Obituary of Helen Mallahan
Helen (Goffredo) Mallahan passed away at the Blair House in Tewksbury on Wednesday evening, March 16, 2006. The wife of the late William Mallahan, she was 73 years old.
Mrs. Mallahan was born and raised in Somerville. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Doris Goffredo. Mrs. Mallahan and her husband moved to Burlington in 1968 where they raised their four sons. She was employed for many years at the Sheraton Hotel in Cambridge where she worked part-time as a function waitress. Mrs. Mallahan loved flowers and had a passion for gardening. She also enjoyed the many special times she spent with her friends. Her primary role in life was devoted to creating a loving home for her husband and sons.
Mrs. Mallahan was the beloved wife of the late William. She is the loving mother of William & his wife Melody, Peter, Mark & his wife Carolyn, and Eric & his wife Dawn all of Burlington. She is the loving sister of Margaret Kelly of Arlington and Barbara Camelio of Woburn. Grandmother of Meredith, Caitlin, Melissa, and Courtney. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, March 18 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
