Obituary of John T. Boyson

John T. “Bunky” “Red” Boyson, a retired member of the Teamsters Local 25, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Friday evening, July 14, 2006. The beloved husband of Arlene (Bent), he was 72 years old. Mr. Boyson was born in Somerville. He was the son of the late Samuel and Helen Boyson. He was raised and educated in Medford. Mr. Boyson was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the United Sates Army from 1953-1956. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Boyson was a Truck Driver for over 37 years. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 25. He retired in 1995. Mr. Boyson enjoyed working with “string art”. He was an expert on “cryptoquotes” that were in the daily newspaper. Mr. Boyson and his wife Arlene enjoyed traveling together and had visited such places as Florida, Lake Placid, and Elvis Presley’s mansion Graceland in Memphis, TN. Mr. Boyson will be remembered as a caring, kind and compassionate man that was always there for a friend in need. Mr. Boyson is the beloved husband of Arlene (Bent). He is the loving brother of Helen Ash of Medford, Louise Desmond of North Reading, and the late Patricia Spinosa, Samuel and Francis Boyson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, July 21 at 9:00 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
