Obituary of Joseph L. Baglione

Joseph L. Baglione passed away at the Milford Regional Hospital on Monday, July 17, 2006. He was 88 years old. Mr. Baglione was born, raised and educated in Boston. He was the son of Italian immigrants the late Antonino & Maria Baglione. Mr. Baglione resided in Billerica for many years before moving to Hopedale. Mr. Baglione was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army from 1943-1946. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and saw action in Northern France. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. He worked at First National for over 25 years and was a member of the Teamsters. He ended his career working for the Post Office in South Boston. Mr. Baglione is the beloved husband of the late Mary (Harris) and Edna (Jillson). He is the dear companion of Mary Falvey of Blackstone. He is the loving father of Joseph R. of New Ipswich, NH and the late Robert A. Baglione and Donna Ostroski. He is the father-in-law of Elaine Baglione of Hopedale and Raymond Ostroski of Billerica. He is the brother of the late Carmen Ziniti, Frank & Salvatore Baglione. Grandfather of 11 and Great Grandfather of 8. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, July 21 at 11 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., BURLINGTON at Noon. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Memorials in Joseph’s name may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-9813.
