Obituary of James Bushee

James “Jim” Bushee, Jr., a retired engineer, passed away after a long illness on Monday morning, September 10, 2012. He was 84 years old. Jim was born in Boston, the son of James and Irene Bushee. He grew up in Everett and Malden. He graduated from Malden High School. He served in the Navy during the end of World War II and was the recipient of the WW II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After the war he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University and later earned his Masters Degree from Suffolk University. He worked for thirty three years as an Electrical Engineer at M.I.T. Lincoln Labs in Lexington as well as working for many years at Northeastern University in numerous capacities including teaching. Jim resided in Woburn for the past fifty five years. He enjoyed playing Bridge with his family, friends, and coworkers. He enjoyed working around his home and in his garden. He was an avid Boston sports fan. Jim took pride in providing for his family and giving his children the opportunities and education to succeed in life. Jim enjoyed the simple things in life and the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. Jim was the beloved husband of fifty five years of Jeannette (MacDonald) Bushee. He was the loving father of Sheryl Dunlap & her husband Rick of Tewksbury, Karen Chapman & her husband Craig of Woburn, Janice Bushee of Burlington, Linda Spencer of Billerica, Lisa Tetrault & her husband Barry of Westford, Kathy Pelletier & her husband John of Danvers and Jim Bushee & his wife Holly of Billerica. He was predeceased by his sister, Irene Young. He was also survived by 12 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
