Obituary of Anna McCabe
Anna T. (Sheehan) McCabe, a resident of Burlington since 1948, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Wednesday evening, January 5, 2011. The wife of Christopher McCabe she was 82 years old. Anna was born, raised and educated in Dorchester. She was the daughter of the Irish Immigrants the late Daniel and Molly Sheehan. Anna had a successful career as a bookkeeper working for both the Telephone Company and Houghton Mifflin Co. Anna was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved taking trips to in Ireland. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and dancing. Anna enjoyed many friendships in her neighborhood on Sunset Road in Burlington. She also had a loving family. Anna is the beloved wife of Christopher McCabe. She is the sister of the late Mary, Kevin and Joseph Sheehan. Sister-in-law of Lucille Sheehan of Medford, Bernet McComas & her husband Gerald of York, PA. Anna is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, Jan 10 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington
