Obituary of Robert "Bob" Pellegrino
Robert “Bob” Pellegrino, 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Bob was born in Albany, New York in 1958 and was the son of the late Carmello “Carmen” and Louise Pellegrino. He grew up in Albany and was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. Bob received Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in 1981 and his Masters from California State University, Fullerton in 1985. He had an exciting career as a Computer Electrical Engineer working on cutting edge technology. He specialized in designing computer chips using VHDL and received several awards for work.
Bob married his wife Susan in 1998 and they settled in Westford the following year. Bob enjoyed yearly vacations with his family in Aruba and Wells, ME. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Sander’s Golf League. Coaching his daughter Samantha’s softball team also brought him great joy. Despite growing up in New York, Bob became a loyal New England Sports fan and even held season tickets for the New England Patriots.
Bob was the beloved husband of Susan (Forrest) and the loving father of Samantha of Westford MA. He was the son of the late Carmen and Louise Pellegrino of Albany, NY. He was the brother of Linda Mastrianni & her husband Jerome, of Wilton, NY. He was the son-in-law of Marilyn Forrest and the late John Forrest of S. Dennis, MA and the brother-in-law of Allison & Steven Larson of Chelmsford MA and Stephen & Elizabeth Forrest of Arlington MA. He was the loving uncle of Alyssa and Nicholas Mastrianni, Caroline and Matthew Larson, and Zachary and Emma Forrest.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., North Chelmsford, on Friday, December 28th at 11 a.m. followed by a burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford, MA. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V.
