Knew Gary in the Choral Society at Northeastern many years ago. He had a great voice, and loved to sing, in the general chorus, chorale, madrigals, barbershop, didn’t matter, he loved it all.

Gary was a great friend of mine in WHS as we both sang in the choirs - which we both LOVED - and we also performed in Reagle Players. He was a Bass-baritone and I was/am a tenor and suffice to say those formative years had a lot to do with developing our mutual passions for singing and performance! We were sure lucky kids to have such wonderful musical and performance programs to participate in during High School and beyond. We also enjoyed after rehearsal fun and socializing at many favorite spots and definitely kept a number of Chinese Restaurants in business! Gary was also one of the first of "the Gang" to get both a driver's license and access to a vehicle but he was also always delighted to drive us all around! He was so friendly and had a fun, dry sense of humor. After many years we got back "connected" on FB and just a few weeks ago he was chiming in on one of my posts, so his death, and obvious illness, was a total surprise to me. Wish we had chatted much more....my deep condolences to his family and many friends, and pals in the various choirs he loved. Sharing and "passing on" song is such a beautiful gift and I know Gary delighted in sharing his gifts abundantly!
"The eternal task of song can never be finished in a single lifetime.
That is the beauty and fascination of the Art." -- Dame Nellie Melba

Gary was always the first warm smile and “hello nod” I got walking into any Reagle Players rehearsal. He was a kind soul with a passion for singing and sharing his gift of voice with others. He will be greatly missed.

Devastated to hear of the passing of one of the sweetest and most talented singers I have ever had the pleasure of working with.... Who I was also honored to call my friend. Gary was a kind and wonderful soul who loved music and the creation of it so very much... He came alive with such joy when he sang. He especially loved singing for the winter holidays, raising his voice in song with others to spread cheer and love to all. May his memory ever be a blessing and wishing comfort and peace to all who were lucky enough to have known and loved him.
Rest well my friend... I have no doubt you will still be singing with us, from another, better place.
