Obituary of Ryan T. Harrington

Ryan T. Harrington

A beautiful life came to an end on August 31, 2022. Ryan died as he lived, everyone’s friend. Ryan was born in Winchester, and grew up in Burlington, MA. Ryan attended Fox Hill Elementary, Marshall Simonds Middle School, and graduated from Burlington High School in 2010. Ryan loved playing sports in high school. He excelled on the BHS golf and gymnastics teams.

After High School, Ryan became a jack-of-all-trades. He was a very talented craftsman which led him to fields of construction, electrical, and plumbing. Ryan worked on HVACs for Ginnell Mechanical.

Ryan’s love for the outdoors drew him out of Massachusetts, and up north to Maine. Ryan and his two dogs enjoyed all the activities that went along with being an outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hiking, canoeing and kayaking in the heart of Maine. He made his home just outside of Portland in Harrison. Ryan worked for a camp in Harrison when he wasn’t exploring.

Ryan will be remembered for his free spirit and kind heart. He had the ability to walk into a room not knowing a soul, and walk out with everyone his friend. He was the kind of friend you wanted to have in life.

Ryan was the beloved son of Cheryl Oley of Burlington. He was the dear grandson of Ed and Lillian Oley of Burlington. He was the caring nephew to Denise & Walter Callahan of Woburn, Michael & Joy Oley of New Hampshire, David & Pam Oley of New Hampshire, Carl Oley of Massachusetts, Heather & Jim Bento of Swansee and Tracey & John McLaughlin of Rhode Island. Ryan is also survived by many cousins Jessica, Cora, and Madelyn Soderquist, Jody, Joseph, and Sabrina Scalisi, Joy Tardif, Kaleb, Brooklyn Valotta, Brian Oley, Jacob and Ashley Oley, Camryn and Cody Norman, Erin and Tyler McLaughlin, Erica, Luis, Anthony, Jaidyn, and Alyana DeJesus.

Ryan’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10th from 12 PM - 4 PM at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St, Burlington, MA 01803.
