I met Bob a couple years ago when I moved to Vermont. He was quite a guy. Bob would always go the extra mile to help. I will remember him as one of the kindest and best friends I've ever had.

Didn’t know Robert, but know Jocelyn from Montpelier and our dogs. I’m so sorry you have lost a mainstay of your life. Reuben Lee is there with Robert and eventually you will reunite. That doesn’t help now.
Thinking of you.

So very sorry to hear this. I used to work with Bobby at First in Fitness. He was always happy, funny and witty. He was always a gentleman and kind to everyone he met. My thoughts and prayers for all family members who have lost such an amazing person.

Bobby was one of the finest people I ever had the pleasure to know.
When he was one of the crew that was remodeling my house (1980 + -) his patience and kindness to young and old alike was endless.
In all the years thereafter should we happen to run into Bobby anywhere, we would be met with that beautiful smile and a genuine interest in how we all were and what we were doing.
His passing will be a great loss to all who knew him. He was the best. RIP Bobby. You were loved.

How very saddened and shocked I was to open the obits and see this beautiful smiling face. I didn’t know Bob well, but met him at Wedgwood Fitness years ago. Everything I’ve read in his obit was so “Bob”. Always had a friendly hello and conversations with you no matter where you you saw him or what he might have been doing…and so genuine. My deepest condolences to his family/friends. The world will be a much sadder place without him. Rest easy.

I knew Bobby from U-32 and from seeing him around town. I taught at U-32 and coached middle school basketball. My players looked up to him and aspired to be like Bobby. Who didn't? With his affable personality, his winning smile, and a heck of a jump shot, who didn't want to be like Bobby? In later years, whenever I saw him at the Wayside or in Montpelier, he would go out of his way to come over and say hello. Let me reiterate "What a great guy!" comment that so many others have already said. My condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed, I am sure.

So shocked and saddened to hear this news. Bobby was part of the big gang at U-32 where we had so much fun being teenagers. Basketball games, gymnastics meets, hanging in the cafeteria....many great memories. My deepest condolences to the family.

I met Bob on February 14,1984 and we have been friends ever since. Bob was not only a big part of my life but also my four children, who he watched grow up into adults. All their lives they referred to him as Big Bob A Looba. We will always have you in our hearts my dear, dear friend.
