Obituary of Audrey Ann Boeri
Audrey Ann (Fredette) Boeri, age 63, passed away at her home in Burlington, MA on July 16, 2024 with her loving family by her side, following a courageous battle with ALS. She was the devoted wife of David Boeri, with whom she had shared 35 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Methuen, MA on July 14, 1961, she was the daughter of Barbara (Marrese) Fredette and Norman Fredette. Audrey was raised in Andover, MA and attended Simmons College earning a bachelor’s degree in English. Shortly after college, Audrey met her loving husband Dave at Harvard Coop, and they began their lives together soon thereafter.
Audrey was a dedicated wife and mother, and stayed home with her children until she felt everyone was ready for her to pursue her dream career. When her youngest was in grade school, she finally decided to go back and earn a master’s degree in special education from Baypath College. After gaining her certification, Audrey went on to work as a special education teacher at Fox Hill Elementary School for many years until her retirement in 2023. During her time at Fox Hill, she loved nothing more than spending time with the kids and helping them to learn and grow. She truly dedicated her life to the children she taught from the moment she began teaching.
When Audrey wasn’t working, she was either reading or catching some sun whenever she could. She loved being outdoors and going to the beach; oftentimes combining her two loves by reading while at the beach. Audrey was always the life of any party, and was the first person you thought of when needing to plan a get together. She loved being with people, entertaining, and being a social butterfly. There were times Audrey couldn’t even get through a grocery run without either seeing someone she knew, or making a new friend. She was truly a light in so many lives, and lived each moment she had to the fullest. Even when she was diagnosed with ALS, her spirits remained high and she continued being the glue that held her family and friends together so tightly. At the end of the day, her unending desire to make people feel special made Audrey the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend a person could ask for. Through all her struggles she stayed positive, and reminded everyone to “always keep dancing”.
Along with her dear husband Dave, and her loving parents, Audrey is survived by her three children, Michael Boeri, his wife Francesca, and their son Dominic of NJ, Jonathan Boeri, his wife Michaela, and their son Luca of NH, and Lauren Boeri of MA; her two brothers, Eric Fredette and his wife Patricia of CT, and David Fredette and his wife Nicole of MA; her brother-in-law Charles Boeri and his wife Sharon of MA, as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Saturday, July 20th from 3 pm – 7 pm. At the request of her family, burial services will be held privately.
