Aunt Judy was a gem of a woman and her sparkle will be greatly missed. Jay, Jill, Jimmy, and Josh she was incredibly proud of you all and was your greatest fan. I know Tommy was waiting for her at the pearly gates with a Pepsi in one hand and Cheezits in the other, in true Forrest Street style. Wishing you peace and comfort.

So very sorry to hear of Judy's passing. As one of the "club" girls and dear friend of my Mother, Betty - her strength, spirit and sense of humor will always be remembered with love! I'm sure the "club" girls are having a blast together in Heaven.

My deepest condolences to Jay, Jill, Jimmy and Josh. Sending you all hugs and love thru this message.
Judy was like a second mother to me, my brother and sister.
My mother Joan was her oldest friend (they knew each other for 80 years) and when Judy married Jack, she moved in
next door to my mother and father where they continued to be best friends and raise their children together. We were SO BLESSED to grow up on Laurel Hill Lane. A small dead-end street with just 6 little houses that all became friends - well like an extended family really, and all the kids played and grew up together.
We had neighborhood BBQs, Christmas eve parties, everyone's birthdays were celebrated together, kick ball in the street, hide and seek, building a fort in the woods, swinging from the TARZAN rope swing my dad put up in our backyard.
Building snow forts and throwing snowballs at the Diaper Man's truck with the fake Baby statue on the roof of it, seeing who
could hit it first! All getting ready for the first day of school, meeting at the Thompson house for a group picture. The Carnival we put together to raise money for the Jimmy Fund... I think after all the hard work my Dad and Jack put in building the games for it, we raised about $30 and we thought that was a FORTUNE! LOL
Jimmy doing the hula hoop at age 4 like a pro! LOL (We have this on video, it is hysterical!)
Jay scratching his name with a hanger in my dad's brand-new car and also being my first date to my first prom. Jill and I being cheerleaders together, me taking Josh off to college with me for the day so our moms could meet at the 99's. All such wonderful memories of our days together on that precious little street that was like our own sanctuary... safe in a little bubble world of
youth and innocence. I remember those days fondly. I thank BOTH our parents for giving us that wonderful childhood.
Judy had one of the best laughs of anyone I know, it was infectious. She was so social and loved to talk to everyone as well as
be involved in our church and community. She had a very strong side as well and faced many challenges on her own when
her beloved Jack transitioned.
I'd like to think that Jack, My Dad and My Mother were there to greet Judy when she crossed over and they are all together
again, and that one day we will all be with them and having a big neighborhood BBQ, just like our old days in the neighborhood. It brings me comfort to know that.
I hope it brings Judys' children comfort to know that as well.
My heart goes out to all four of Judy's beautiful children and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren - as her absence will be felt by all of us.
Love and Light - Lori Thompson
