Obituary of John David Tomsuden

John David Tomsuden, 70, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday February 4, 2024, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

John was born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Rev. Henry L. and Barbara H. (Herpich) Tomsuden. He was raised in Southington, CT and moved to Arlington where he graduated High School. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, particularly 70’s rock and roll. He was a true lover of skiing and loved to ski throughout New England. John was always happiest outdoors soaking in the sunshine and watching birds and animals.

For many years he was employed as an inspector in the fire insurance field.

John is survived by his sister, Kathryn Petruzzello and her husband Michael of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and a brother, Mark Tomsuden and his wife Julie Tumminia-Tomsuden of Winnsboro, South Carolina, his nieces and nephews, Amanda McClelland, Elizabeth, and Matthew, and Morgan Tomsuden, and Marco Tumminia. He also leaves a close friend and neighbor John Alberghini of Burlington. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Florinda Mayo.
