Obituary of Allen D Stockton
Allen Dean Stockton, 69, of Burlington, passed away on February 15 at Care One in Lexington.
Allen was born in Arlington. the son of the late Herbert and Helen (Larson) Stockton. He was educated in the Burlington school system and graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1973. While he was in high school, he worked in the kitchen at 10 Acres in Wayland as well as working as a librarian aid which led to his love of reading. He loved to stay current with world and local events, getting his news from the Boston Globe or the Boston Herald.
Allen enjoyed the occasional scratch ticket, going out to eat with friends, especially with his friend Greg, league bowling and helping his mother. A truly devoted son, Allen would always jump at the opportunity to help his mother get out of the house. He was seen around town driving his mother to appointments, shopping or just going for a drive through town.
He was always a diligent and hard worker, but he did enjoy his time relaxing in front of the television, replacing the daily stress of work with the laughs of the slapstick comedy brought by the Three Stooges. His memory was impeccable, names and dates were easily recalled and made for an impressive display when family and friends gathered. He will be missed by all that had the opportunity to get to know him.
Allen is survived by his loving sister, Susan Stockton of Burlington as well as many cousins.
