Obituary of Virginia M. Caso

Virginia M. Caso, age 104, passed away peacefully at St. Patrick Manor on Monday, March 3rd.  She was the beloved wife of the late Crescenzo “Christy” Caso.

Born and proudly raised on 103 Charter Street in the North End of Boston, Virginia was the youngest of 6 children.  She adored her parents, Guiseppe and Philomena Giusto, loving and hard-working immigrants from Italy.  As the youngest child, Virginia was the dedicated caretaker of her family.  She unconditionally cared for everyone through good times and bad until each one’s passing.  Virginia fiercely loved her family and it showed.

She is predeceased by her mother, Filomina Guisto, father, Guiseppe Giusto, her beautiful sisters, Maria Caso, Frances Caso, Carmella DelGrosso, her loving brothers, Sammy who died in his youth, and Patrick Giusto, and her dear sister-in-law Mary (Mona) Giusto. 

Virginia is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie Caso and dear son-in-law Mark Long of Woburn; her adoring granddaughter, Mia, and many loving nieces, nephews, their children, godchildren, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, March 7th from 4 pm until 7 pm, at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington, MA.  Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 10 am at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington, please meet at church.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston.  As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia’s honor may be made to Catholic TV Network, 34 Chestnut St., PO Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471.
