Obituary of Deborah "Debbie" A Chambers

Deborah A. “Debbie” (Bishop) Chambers, 69, of Woburn, a devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Woburn Health and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born in Somerville the daughter of the late Edward V. and Frances M. (Duffy) Bishop. She was educated in the Somerville school system and attended Medford High School.

Deborah’s life was defined by her deep faith in God, and Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior. She lived with a strong moral compass, always striving to be a source of kindness and encouragement to those around her. Her faith guided her through every challenge, and she carried herself with grace, humility, and compassion.

One of Debbie’s greatest joys was the life she built with her beloved husband, Mark. Their love was a beautiful partnership filled with adventure, laughter and unwavering support. She adored riding on the back of his motorcycle, holding tightly to him as they cruised through the streets of Stoneham, taking in the sight and sounds. Those rides were more than just a pastime, they were moments of freedom, connection, and pure happiness, that she treasured deeply.

In her free time, Debbie enjoyed training her sharp shooting skills at the gun range, traveling throughout New England going to car and motorcycle shows, spending relaxing sunny days at seaside towns of Gloucester and Rockport or getting ready to go on one of her camping trips to Lake Sebago

Debbie was a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Bobby and Larry. She poured her heart into raising them, supporting them in every way possible, even going as far as working two or three jobs to make sure they could have everything they ever wanted. She never missed a football or hockey game, cheering from the stands with pride and encouragement. Her unwavering support and unconditional love shaped them into the men they became, and she took immense joy in watching them grow.

When she was blessed with grandchildren, Deborah’s heart grew even fuller. She extended the same boundless love and devotion to her four grandchildren, embracing every moment she had with them. Whether attending their events, sharing in their joys, or simply offering a listening ear and warm embrace, she was always present. Being a grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness, and she cherished every memory made with her family.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her son, Robert Jodoin who passed away a week prior to his mother. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Chambers of Woburn, adoring son, Larry Jodoin and his wife Meredith of Woburn, siblings, Edward Bishop and his wife Grace of Tewksbury, Eileen Innis and her husband Danny of Riverside, CA, Maureen Visocchi and her husband John of Reading, Nancy Jensen and her husband Allen of Port Charlotte, FL, Phyllis DiMartini and her husband Dimitri of Italy, four grandchildren, Alex, Madison, Riley, and Ainsley Jodoin of Woburn, Her former husband, Garry Jodoin,  as well as many nieces, nephews and her beloved dogs Griffin and Jake.
