Obituary of Patricia R LaChance
Patricia R. (Quigley) LaChance, 78, a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, March 24, 2025.
Patty was born in Woburn, the daughter of the late Roger J. and Eleanor F. (Kirk) Quigley. She was raised in Burlington, MA but later moved to Salem, NH. For many years she was able to make a warm and loving home for her children. She was happiest at home, where she would typically watch John Wayne or Elvis movies and work on her crocheting. She loved a good card game with her family and testing her luck at the casino. She had a deep love for Elvis, a passion that took her on a memorable road trip to Graceland and even granted her the rare experience of seeing him live in concert in 1976, just months prior to his passing. She loved cheering on the New England Patriots, and was heart broken when her favorite quarterback, Steve Grogan, retired.
Patty never set foot on an airplane, preferring the comfort of the open road and the places she knew best. She delighted in her trips to Santa’s Village, usually taking in a picnic on the way by the river, with her children and eventually her most beloved grandchildren. In later years she would continue to visit Santa’s Village multiple times a year, embracing the magic and nostalgia it brought her. She also loved taking scenic drives through the White Mountains, always eager for a chance to ride the gondola at Cannon Mountain whenever the opportunity arose.
She had a deep appreciation for iced coffee and Chinese food, simple indulgences that never failed to bring her joy. Her favorite treats, the corner piece of cake with the most frosting or chocolate frosted donuts shared with family always brought a smile to her face. She had a warm and endearing way of addressing everyone as “darlin,” a small but meaningful reflection of the kindness she carried for those she loved.
She is survived by her loving children, Raymond Lachance and his wife Vicki of Salem, NH and Christine Torres of Manchester, NH; four grandchildren, Danielle Moglia and her husband Anthony, Devin Lachance, Dylan Torres and Ali Torres and a great grand daughter on the way, Mia Moglia; her siblings, Judith Zugale of Plymouth, MA, John Quigley and his wife Cindy of Seabrook, NH, and Debora Vallis and her husband Tom of Salem, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Roger Quigley, Jr. and her sister Joanne Smith.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visiting hours on Saturday, March 29th, from 10:30AM to 11:30AM at the Edward V.
