Obituary of Domenic "Dom" Cipollone
Domenic Cipollone (known to all as Dom or “Zip”) a retired CPA, passed away at Winchester Hospital on June 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Somerville, Dom was the son of Italian immigrants, the late Camillo and Maria Domenica (Scenna) Cipollone. He graduated from Somerville High and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Bentley College. He was employed at Peck Associates for 25 years.
Outside of work, Dom had a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid hiker, conquering many of New England’s tallest mountains. A true foodie, he and companion Kathleen often traveled to Canada to visit family and in search of the best eats, carefully planning their trips around great dining experiences. A devoted fan of all Boston sports, Dom especially loved cheering for the Red Sox.
Dom was an only child, though he shared a strong bond with his cousins, Maria O’Connor of Burlington, Lillian Francescucci DiMaria of Medford, Nicholas Francescucci of Burlington, Philip Cipollone of Chelsea, Carmen D’Angelo of Stoneham and Leonard D’Angelo of Norfolk, along with their families. He was the longtime companion of Kathleen Aucoin of Wilmington. He will be missed by his family and long-life friends.
Dom will be remembered by his kindness and generosity.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Monday, June 23rd from 10:30-11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Church in St. Veronica Parish, www.stveronicama.org, 111 Winn Street, Burlington, at noon. Services will conclude with a burial at Woodlawn Cemetery,Everett.
Memorial donations in Dom’s name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
