Obituary of Lucille Morrill

Lucille A. “Lu” (Brunette) Morrill, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Sunday afternoon, August 25, 2013. The beloved wife of the late Allen J. she was 76 years old. Lu was born, raised and educated in Salem. She was the daughter of the late Arthur & Rose Brunette. After High School she served her country in the United States Navy as a Nurse. Lu & her husband lived in Lynn for a period of time until moving to Billerica where they raised their children. After her husband’s retirement they moved to Port Orange FL for 20 years before moving to Burlington 12 years ago. Lu was an avid knitter. She was especially known for her “Irish Knit Sweaters” which she made with love for her children and grandchildren. It gave her great joy to see her sweaters passed down from generation to generation. She enjoyed listening to Country Music. Lu and her husband traveled extensively via motor home on a number of occasions. She was an avid Nascar racing fan. Lu’s life centered on her family. She was a devoted mother and proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her 10th great grandchild. Lu was the beloved wife of the late Allen J. She was the loving mother of Michael & his wife Linda of Billerica, Joseph & his wife Karen of Burlington, Lea Leonard & her husband David of Billerica, Julie Knipfer & her husband Earl of Nashua, NH and Judi Margeson & her husband Scott of Dracut. Sister of the late Arthur Brunette & Theresa Corrieveau. Proud grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 9. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Concluding with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Daytona Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers memorials in Lu’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
