Ronald P. Romeo Obituary

Ronald P. Romeo, known lovingly as Ronnie, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, from congestive heart failure while resting comfortably at his home. He was 60 years old.

Ronnie was born on July 8, 1965, the youngest of six children to Mary T. (Jannino) Romeo and the late Ernest J. Romeo. The Romeo family has been long-time residents of Burlington, Massachusetts.

As the baby of the family, Ronnie was famously known as “Mom’s favorite.” He had an infectious sense of humor that brought constant laughter to those around him. As his mother often said, “He doesn’t even know it, but he could be a comedian.” Ronnie lived by a simple but beautiful philosophy: if he could make just one person laugh each day, it was a good day. He found true joy in making others happy—through his magic tricks, his silly stories, and his spot-on impressions.

In his younger years, Ron was full of life—blessed with movie-star looks and a magnetic personality. He enjoyed success, adventure, and fun: earning well, driving flashy cars, traveling often, and enjoying time at the casinos. Yet through it all, he remained grounded by his kind heart and generous spirit.

Ronnie will be remembered always for his warmth, tenderness, and selfless nature. He gave freely of himself—often putting others before his own needs, always ready to lend a helping hand or give his last dollar to someone in need.

A 1983 graduate of Burlington High School, Ronnie had a special place in his heart for children with disabilities, and he remained a kid at heart throughout his life. He was a proud and devoted dog dad to Arthur and Kylie. Multi-talented, Ronnie excelled as a handyman, carpenter, salesman, mechanic, and cook.

Ronnie's heart may have given out too soon, but the love he gave will live on forever.

Ronnie was the loving son of Mary Theresa (Jannino) Romeo of Burlington and the late Ernest Joseph Romeo. He was the beloved brother of Ernest Joseph Romeo, Jr. & his partner Ginny Keelty of Gouldsboro PA, Carolyn Burke & her husband Mark of Burlington, Eileen Barry & her husband Michael of Newburyport, Diane Hunt of Salem, NH, and Richard Romeo & his wife Kathleen of Pelham.  He was the fun and proud uncle of Anthony Romeo & his wife Melody, Katie Conaway & her husband Shane, Mary Romeo, Meghan Mongeau & her husband Greg, Kyle Burke & his wife Kathleen, Brendan Burke, Michael Barry & his wife Danielle, Richard Barry, Christopher Barry & his wife Hannah, Jack Barry & his wife Leigh, Brian Barry, John Hunt & his wife Kasey, Stephen Hunt & his wife Jodie,  Rachel Romeo, Victor Romeo and the late Joseph Barry.  Ronnie was also survived by 19 great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V.
