Obituary of Benjamin Molinari

Benjamin John Molinari, Sr., a retired truck driver passed away on Tuesday evening, August 27, 2013. He was 73 years old. Ben was born in Chelsea and raised in Billerica. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1961 as a member of the 537th MP Company. He then spent 3 years as a member of the Army Reserves. He was very proud of his service to his country. He married, moved to Stoneham and raised 2 children. He then spent over 25 years living in the small town of Hillsborough, NH. He was retired from C E X Trucking where he had employed for 15 years. He had also worked as a truck driver for a number of firms of his long career. He was a longtime and proud member of the Teamsters, Local 25. Ben loved living in the rural town of Hillsborough, which reminded him of Billerica as he was growing up. He enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening. He was always working around his home and yard. He always up to date on all the affairs around the world and faithfully read the daily paper front to back. He loved his family and they will remember the family vacations to New Hampshire, learning how to fish, being caring and supportive family member. Ben was the loving father of Judy Gatta & her husband John of Woburn and Benjamin Molinari, Jr. of Tewksbury. He was the proud grandfather of Anthony & Gianna Gatta of Woburn. He was the brother of Faith Sullivan & her husband Edward of Manchester, NH, Sister Mary Angelina “Ethel” Molinari of Billerica, Frances Lamothe & her husband Paul of Tewksbury, and Janet Mercurio & her husband Alfred of Billerica. He was the former husband of Alice Molinari of Stoneham and Godson of Lillian Burl of Billerica. He was the dear friend of Maurice Morrisette and Robert Iarrobino both of Hillsborough, NH. Ben was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Saturday, August 31 at 8 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
