Obituary of John Stewart

John P. Stewart, Sr., a resident of Burlington for 40 years, passed away unexpectedly at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, on Monday morning, January 30, 2006. He was 67 years old. Mr. Stewart was born in Boston. He was the son of the late Frank & Lillian Stewart. Mr. Stewart was raised and educated in South Boston. He was a graduate of South Boston High School. Mr. Stewart served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Mr. Stewart was retired from Kamaan Machines where he was employed as a Sales Manager. He was a past member of the Burlington Knights of Columbus. Mr. Stewart’s family was very important to him. He cherished the many special times he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Mr. Stewart is the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Carew) Stewart. He is the loving father of Lynne Stewart of Billerica, Donna & her husband Michael Suarez of Billerica, and John P. Stewart, Jr. of Burlington. He is the brother of Patricia Downing, Maryann Kelly, Frank, Tom, and Michael Stewart, and the late Carol Foley, Paul and James Stewart. He is the grandfather of Lance Corporal Shawn Weidman currently serving in Iraq, Jessica Weidman, and Leana, Neesha, Daniel, and Maya Suarez all of Billerica. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
