My deepest condolences to Fitzy and all the family. Peggy lived a full life and did it all. She had a big heart and a great sense of humor. She and Fitzy were the most devoted parents I’d ever seen when they came to CA in their RV with Michael. She was my cousin, her mom and my dad were sister and brother. May they all be reunited in God’s loving arms. Fly high Peggy and know that your family in CA loves and misses you. My deepest sympathy to all her friends, family and everyone lucky enough to have known her.

My sister Peggy has always been my ROCK when needed...as a young child she would watch over me and brush my long hair...I always felt safe with her...One word that comes to my mind of her is mother...my older sister was meant to have a big family which she did...her world was her family and her faith...my sister was one smart lady and she was so generous with gifts...there will be NO detours for my sister going to heaven...the gates will be wide open to greet her...and when she is there...she will be talking to everyone like she did on earth with love and happiness ...thank you my dear sweet sister for all the love you gave to me and my family...you will surely be missed but now you will be our special angel in heaven watching over all of us...GOD bless you and till we meet again...Peggy I love you with all my heart ...

Peggy was one special person! She had a huge heart and a welcoming personality. To know Peggy was like getting a warm bear hug !
Peggy and my Mom, Jackie, were best of friends since high school. A friendship that turned into mutual love and admiration for decades. From that beautiful friendship our families formed a strong bond. We called each other cousins. My fondest childhood memories are with the Fitzgeralds and the Burke’s…day long picnics at Whalem park and Waverly Oaks, camping with the motorhome and many many gatherings at each other’s houses. The Fitzgerald’s were not blood relatives… but they are family! Peggy was the heart of all the outings. She always had enough food for everyone and home baked treats too! Peggy’s philosophy was “ the more .. the merrier!” She opened up her home to all.
I will be forever grateful for having Peggy and her family in my life. Heaven has gained another angel. Rest in peace Peggy… and give mom a hug from me ❤️

Peggy was definitely a thoughtful warm person. Since we were very young, she considered us family and we thought of her as our aunt ( her kids our cousins). We enjoyed lots of picnics, parties and vacations together. She always found little ways to make you feel special.
