Beverly Ann Gillis, born in Arlington Mass, March 19,1949.  Beloved daughter to Kathleen (Delaney) and Frederick Gillis.  She was the 9th baby to bless the Gillis clan.  She would have 3 siblings born after her.  Beverly achieved lots of accomplishments.  Being born with cerebral palsy she endured many obstacles.  She was feisty, determined and very smart.  The apple of her dad’s (Deard’s) eye.  He would often coax her out of bed to go to work at Jordan Marsh (she worked in the kitchen).  Being an old Scottish dad he  would sing a self written song, “Beverly Ann Gillis is an old goat, she wipes her nose on the sleeve of her coat, you’ll know Beverly wherever she goes" followed by a harmony with his harmonica.

Beverly has had a community of people that have helped her over the years.  She is survived by her family, Priscilla (John) Holden of Nashua, NH Ralph  (Roberta) Gillis of Nashua, NH, Joan (William) Bannon of Wilmington Eileen Dixon of Florida, Jerry Gillis of Pelham, NH, Kennedy (Brenda) Gillis of Burlington, predeceased by her oldest brother, Fred Gillis,  brother William, sister Kathleen, wonderful older brother Donnie Gillis and most recently, her baby sister Patricia Cote of Lowell, MA.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews.  A loved aunt by all!  We will all remember dancing and singing to Aunt Bubbly’s amazing vinyl collection.  Her nieces will remember the endless hair brushing.  She will forever have stock in “chips and dip” a favored snack up until her last breath.

We would like to express our thanks for all of the help that Beverly has received in the past.  She was a blessed family member of Nexus, a support for human services.  DDS (Department of Developmental Services), the staff and housemates to Bev, have been an integral part of her care.  

She will be dancing with not only her family but her best friends at Williams Lane; Aurora, Betty and Gretchen whom Bev missed terribly.

Beverly's Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
