Richard Allen Poirier, a talented and gifted individual passed sadly at the age of 42.  Ricky was born in Waltham.  He was the son of Richard and Rita (MacDonald) Poirier.  He grew up and was educated in Waltham.  As a youth he loved football and always had an interest in art.  Throughout his life he enjoyed drawing, sketching, and painting.  It was a way to express himself that gave him meaning.  He enjoyed writing and even wrote a novel.  He loved all genres of music from Ozzie Osbourne, Metallica, The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix, to Adele.  He enjoyed going to concerts with friends and family.  He was a bit of a collector.  He had a comic book collection that totaled over 1000, a watch collection, and a matchbox car collection.  He taught boxing.  He loved cooking and had a very creative culinary style.  He loved animals.  Ricky will be remembered as a loyal son and a good and true friend.  Ricky’s family asks that in his memory to be sure to tell your loved ones that “you love them” every day.
