Obituary of Margaret Giallongo

Margaret E. (Stormont-Roach) Giallongo, a resident of Burlington for over 50 years, passed away after a long illness at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Care Facility on Monday night, August 23, 2011. She was 87 years old. Margaret was born in Medford, the daughter of the late Roger and Jenny Stormont. She grew up and was educated in Medford. She moved to Burlington to raise her 2 sons. She enjoyed her role as homemaker, but after her sons had grown she traded her apron for a typewriter. She worked first as a secretary at Sanders Corp. in Bedford and then with Foxboro Corporation. In her leisure time, Margaret enjoyed search for antiques at yard sales and other location. She was also a member of the Scottish Women’s Group. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Anthony. Loving mother of Roger Roach of Chester, NH and Stacey Roach of Concord, NH. Sister of Irene Porter or Portland, ME, Barbara Adams of Medford. Loving grandmother of Karen Teven of Sharon, Tina Crawford of Derry, NH, Steven Roach of Orlando, FL, Keith Roach of Marco Island, FL, Kathleen Manning of Haverhill, Joshua and Dana Roach of Concord NH. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:30 p.m. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5-730 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
