Obituary of Albert D'Errico

Albert A. D’Errico, retired owner of White Hen Pantry in Burlington, passed away in Port St. Lucie, FL on February 3, 2012. The beloved husband of Miriam A. (Short) he was 82 years old. Albert was born, raised and educated in Arlington. He was one of 8 children born to Italian immigrants the late Angelo and Luisa D’Errico. Albert was an Engineer in the Construction Trade. He worked on such projects as Nuclear Power Plants and the Tobin Bridge. After his retirement he purchased White Hen Pantry in Burlington. Albert’s life was all about providing for his family. He loved to work in his yard which he took great pride in. When his children where younger he actually made a tree fort that looked exactly like a miniature house with shutters and all. He loved taking trips to Disneyworld with his family as well as camping. Albert was also an animal lover. He and his wife Miriam enjoyed traveling and visited such destinations as Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. Albert and his wife Miriam would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in May. Albert was the beloved husband of 49 years of Miriam A. (Short) D’Errico. He was the loving father of Dr. A. Andrew D’Errico of Port St. Lucie, FL, Robin D’Errico and Linda Trabucco & her husband Daniel of Burlington. Brother of Lucy Hammond of ME and the late Laura Fiore, Mary Christiansen, Yolanda Hammond- Shea and Antoinette, John and Joseph “Patsy” D’Errico. Devoted grandfather of Kelley-Ann Kennedy, Brianna and Joseph Trabucco. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
