Obituary of Sandra J. Cote
Sandra J. (Colangelo) Cote, passed away at her home with her beloved husband Stephen by her side, on Monday afternoon, February 29, 2016, She was 66 years old.
Sandy was born, raised and educated in Waltham. She was one of 8 children born to August and Mary Colangelo. Sandy was an independent woman who went out on her own at a young age. Sandy was living in Methuen when a gentleman doing painting at her building caught her eye. She offered him and his co-workers a bite to eat and that was the beginning of a new life Sandy would begin with Steve. They married in 1994. Sandy was the ultimate homemaker during her marriage. She was an excellent cook and made sure there was always a home cooked meal for him. Sandy and Steve took many trips together. They traveled to Aruba, Jamaica, Las Vegas and took a number of cruises together. Sandy also shared a love of country music with her niece Kim. She had a love of animals most especially “cats”
Sandy was blessed to have two sons and see the birth of her first grandchild Lilly. Lilly is a talented swimmer and although Sandy could not attend many of her events in recent years due to her illness she was so very proud to hear of all of Lilly’s accomplishments. Keith, Michelle and Lilly brought so much joy to Sandy’s life. Sandy had a wonderful relationship with her brothers and sisters and their families as well as many friends all of whom supported her throughout her life and during her long illness.
Sandy was the beloved wife of 22 years of Stephen. Loving mother of Keith Algeri & his wife Michelle of Burlington and the late Anthony Algeri, III. Proud grandmother of Lilly. Stepmother of Daryll Cote of Lowell. Loving sister of Barbara Puntonio of FL, Jean Levey of NH, Pat Alterisio of Burlington, , Marylou Colangelo of Methuen, Frank Colangelo of Westborough, Bob Colangelo of Waltham & Steve Colangelo of Westford. Step-sister of Jacqui Murphy of Framingham Sandy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services were private. Memorials in Sandy’s name may be made to the Methuen MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
