I just received Al's obituary this morning. I knew that he had passed away...Joanne, my daughter in Detroit area told me, and I was, of course, very sad to hear that. My mind flashed back to the many wonderful times we shared. You and Al made us feel so welcome that we felt like family. Jan has been gone for over 5 years but I still think of her every day and I know you will do the same with Al as you reflect on your wonderful marriage. I will call you soon. I know that God will bless you and your family as you share grief and memories of a life well lived.

I'm so sorry to learn about Al's passing. I was just thinking about your family today as I took a walk around the neighborhood. I didn't know that Al had passed until I read the paper. He was a wonderful person. I enjoyed the block parties we used to have and we all got to know our neighbors. Always friendly and willing to chat if outside while I walked past. People, like Al, make our neighborhood a welcoming & wonderful place to live. I'm thrilled to have gotten to know you all over the years of living here. He will be missed without a doubt. Prayers to you and the family. My deepest condolences. Laura Nowell (Greenwood Rd side)

Mary and family,
We are saddened to hear of Al's passing (just found out yesterday). He was truly a fighter and was determined to live his life "his way", without letting any obstacles get in the way. He should be commended for the example he set for your children and grandchildren.
I (Pat) remember when we first moved to Burlington, the "neighbor from down the street" approached me and said, "aren't you Patty Colangelo"? To my shock, Al explained that he and his family lived in the same 3 family home in East Boston that we did when I was very young. How he recognized me I will never know.
Al and my Dad shared long-ago memories of our lives on Frankfurt Street. This was very rewarding for my Dad.
John & Al had a mutual respect for each other, stemming from their dedication to their children and grandchildren. They had many casual conversations through the years, mostly about their grandchildren, and how proud Al was of all of them.
Blessings and peace to you Mary, and to your family.
God Bless
Pat & John

Please accept our deepest sympathy. Al was a true gentleman; a role model for his entire family, as well as his friends. The love and admiration that he had for his family was evident in all he did. May your fondest memories sustain you through this sad time. We will miss him terribly, and I wish we could be with you this week to celebrate his life.
Much love to all of you,
Doug, Betsy, and family

On behalf of the Billerica Council on Aging (COA) Bridge Group, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies on the passing of our dear friend, Al. He was one of our better bridge players, but he brought a lot more to the Bridge Group than his playing talent. Al was a perfect gentleman at the Bridge table; always smiling and happy and very congenial within the group and we all enjoyed his company. He was always helpful with the play of a hand and never critical of another's play. Al will be deeply missed by our group and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. May he rest in peace until we meet again.

Dear Michael and Family,
I am so truly saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved father. I consider myself very lucky to have known him. I met him a few times and he was just a wonderful and very sincere man. I always enjoyed hearing the stories of the Filosa gatherings. They sounded surreal and something that anyone would want to be a part of. I'm so happy that you and your family have such wonderful memories of your Dad. Michael, I don't need to tell you how blessed you were to have your Dad in your life, he was just as blessed to have you and your children. You were a wonderful son and gave him lots of joy. Even though you can't physically be with your Dad, please know that a piece of his heart will remain in yours forever. Keep his memory alive, for yourself and your children. May His Memory Be For A Blessing. Amen,
With Love and Heartfelt Sympathy to you and your entire family.
Cousin Susan
