Obituary of Margaret Cormier

Margaret Mary Cormier a resident of Burlington for 42 years passed away unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, March 26, 2007. She was 81 years old. Margaret was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late James and Mary McKinley. She grew up in Newton and was a graduate of Our Lady’s High School. Margaret had worked at W.T. Grant in Billerica and then went onto to work at Raytheon in their Missile Division for 15 years. Margaret was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church and helped in their Sunday school program as a teacher and secretary. She enjoyed to knit, crochet, and going to Bingo with her friends. Margaret was a loving wife and mother, who provided a loving home for her family and their friends. She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild all of whom she adored. She leaves a legacy of family and love. Margaret was the beloved wife of late Arthur J. Cormier. She was the loving mother of Deanne of Burlington, Betty & her husband Glenn Voag of Billerica, Arthur of Oak Bluffs, and Colin & his wife Ann of Burlington. She is the sister of Catherine Palumbo of Waltham, John McKinley of Dudley, Kevin McKinley of Port Richey, FL, and the late James “Buddy” McKinley. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, March 30 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
