Obituary of Arlene Sullivan

Arlene M. (Hoffman) Sullivan passed away at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica, on Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2007. The wife of the late James L. Sullivan, who passed away in 2004, she was 73 years old. Arlene was born in Maynard. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Brennan. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Arlene and her husband made their home in Burlington for 37 years. After her husband retired they lived for 8 years in Falmouth before moving to Billerica to be closer to their family. She was employed for many years at Raytheon. Arlene was a loving wife and mother, who provided a loving home for her family and their friends. She was blessed to have 7 children whom she adored. She leaves a legacy of family and love. Arlene is the beloved wife of the late James L Sullivan. She is the loving mother of Brian Sullivan of Hanover, Thomas Sullivan of Methuen, Catherine Hannon of Lexington, John Sullivan of Burlington, Joseph Sullivan of New Ipswich, NH, Ellen Sullivan of Billerica, and Maureen Gallagher of Burlington. She is the sister of Catherine MacAllister of Osterville, Frank Hoffman of Hollis, NH, and the late Edward Hoffman, John Hoffman and Anne O’Donnell. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, March 31 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Road, Billerica at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Arlene’s name may be made to the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley, Alzheimer’s Unit, 80 Boston Road, Billerica, MA 01862.
