Obituary of Helen Hitron

Helen Hitron, a woman of deep faith and love of family, passed away at the Atria Longmeadow Place in Burlington, on Wednesday morning, February 15, 2012. She was 89 years old. Helen was born, raised and educated in Cambridge. She was one of seven children born to the late Stephen and Anna Hitron. Helen was a graduate of Higgins Business School. She worked as a secretary for the Middlesex County Registry of Deeds for 27 years. Helen lived in Woburn for over 55 years. Helen’s faith and family were the most important part of her life. Helen was an active member of St. Anthony’s in Woburn. She was a daily communicant and a Eucharistic Minister. She taught Religious Education and also participated in church fairs. Helen enjoyed knitting and baking. She would often bake “goodies” for the priests of the parish and knit for newborn babies and church fairs. Helen was devoted to her brothers and sisters and their families. They were the center of her life. The birth of a new baby in the family brought Helen much joy and happiness. Helen was the beloved sister of the late Josephine Pazola, Edna Golembieski, Ann Warren, Frank, Felix, and Stanley Hitron. Devoted aunt of Annmarie Adreani & Stanley Hitron, Jr. both of Needham, Carole Kmiec of Ipswich, Marie Leen of Woburn and Kathryn Pazola of Burlington. Also survived by other nieces & nephews, many great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
