Obituary of Young Suk Pak
Young Suk Pak, a woman who was dedicated to her family, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. The wife of the late Hyun Duk Kim, she was 83 years old.
Young was born and raised in Seoul Korea. During her childhood years she saw a lot of history being raised during the Korean conflict. She married her husband Hyun and they raised their children in Korea. In the mid 80’s her daughter Myong Cha sponsored her to come to the United States. Young lived in Massachusetts for a year eventually sponsoring all her children so that they could come to the United States for better opportunities.
The family lived in Needham, Massachusetts for a number of years before settling in Burlington in 2004. Young loved her home in Burlington and had a wonderful relationship with her neighbors. She loved flowers and gardening. She was a talented seamstress whether it was sewing or needlecraft. Young and her daughter Myong enjoyed traveling together and had visited such destinations as Japan, Niagara Falls and Quebec. She also took a few trips back to Korea.
Young will be remembered as a hard working woman who loved her home and was devoted to her family.
Young was the wife of the late Hyun Duk Kim. She was the loving mother of Myong Cha “Kim” Caudle & her husband Arthur of Franklin, Won Bae Kim & his wife Chun of Northborough, Chin Bae Kim of Burlington, In Bae Kim of Burlington, Myong Chu Kim of Burlington and the late Myong Ae Kim & her husband the late Shiegru Sasaki. Grandmother of Jennifer, James, Christine Caudle and Koichi Sasaki. Great grandmother of Anthony, Gabby, Kalani Joshua and Jennely.
A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, June 17th from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
