There is no way to express how sad I am to know Sue has passed, but I hope there is comfort in knowing how loved she was and how much love she gave to her girls. Everyone who loved Sue will help to carry her memory on for Maryanne and Jillian.. May she rest in peace.

Maryanne,
I am so very sorry about the loss of your mother. I really enjoyed getting to know you this year at the Locke Middle School and was very impressed by the smart, strong, caring person that you are. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

Suzanne and I grew up together. We are just 2 months apart in age and our mother's are the best of friends. This meant lots of holidays and vacations together. I most fondly remember our trip to Barbados when we were 12, we thought we were so grown up ordering our tropical fruit drinks by the pool and charging them to the room. We went to the Cape, and to Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire, where fishing with her Dad, my Uncle Roger, was a big highlight. We spent many summer vacations on Martha's Vineyard, where we took more walks on the golf course and down to the dock than I could ever recount. We laughed a lot, and enjoyed each other's company. We shared a love for animals and horseback riding. We went to Kingsbury Hill Horseback Riding Camp together, another great experience that we shared. I always admired her talent for art, it was obvious at a very young age just how gifted she was. Our lives may have taken different paths as we grew older, but we always stayed connected through our mothers. One thing I surely know is how deeply she loved her family. Her girls were always her first priority, and she was a very loving mother.
It is with a heavy heart that I say good bye to you Sue, you are deeply loved, and I will cherish our memories. I will imagine you as a star looking down upon us now, shining your light to give us strength and guidance when we need it most. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.
