To The Vecchi Family,
I was so sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Vecchi. I remember him and Mrs. Vecchi coming into Town Hall to vote absentee before the elections and I'd always ask about Debbie. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and I wish you strength through the coming times ahead. If there is anything I may be of help to any of you, you may find me at the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall. Again my heartfelt condolences to you all!
Sincerely,
Janice Archer

My deepest sympathies to you Hazel and your family. I first met Mike when we were working at RCA, he was a good friend and we shared many group luncheons together. He will certainly be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Vecchi was my Scoutmaster for National Jamboree in 1989 and at TLDC at Parker Mountain in 87 or 88. He was a fantastic man and taught me a lot even though our time together was limited. Thank you for the amount of time your family loaned him to us in the Scouting community. May your memories comfort you in this extremely difficult time.

To the entire Vecchi family:
I will always fondly remember coming over to your home, and spending time with your family.
Even after being all grown-up, to come back and visit, with my own little one at the time, was so nice. You
made me feel like a part of the family, and I will always hold all of you dear to my heart.
Our sincere condolences.

Dear Vecchi Family,
Please accept my condolences on Michael's passing. I had the honor
to work with him on numerous Training Courses and OA events in
Minuteman Council. Mike's tenure as a great Scoutmaster was well
known and understood. Many Burlington youth were affected by
his compassion and devotion to the Scouting program over the years.

Dear Mrs. Vecchi and family,
I was honored by knowing and learning from Mr. Vec, he was indeed a second dad to me. He was a cool friend, a teacher and dedicated to all of youth that have grown to be amazing young men. I am grateful for him and the family for all the time given us scouts. I was able to obtain my Eagle award with His great help and influence. His memory lives on through my good deeds as well as knowledge passed down. I am proud to be a 103 troop member and forever grateful.
May God Bless all of you and comfort you during this period of time. Much Love, Joseph

Growing up, there were a few men other than my dad who showed me by example what a good man should be. Mr. Vecchi was one of them.
I’m 42 years-old, and not a week goes by that I don’t use a skill that this man taught me. There are hundreds of other scouts over the course of a 30+ year Scouting career that I'm sure can say the same.
He taught me the importance of selfless ervice to others, capturing memories with photographs, how to keep calm and carry on, how to be a leader, and how to treat people with respect.
I'm an Eagle Scout because of him, and I’m a better man because of him.
Rest easy, Mr. Vec., and my condolences to the entire Vecchi family.

Hazel, I was so sorry to read today about your loss and the passing of my friend. Mike was an example to all husbands and fathers of how it should be done. His experience with the Scouts, Im sure, influenced in a good way, a lot of boys who are better men now. I know he will be missed by all of us. Stay strong. Love, John

Mike was responsible for the positive scouting experiences enjoyed by untold numbers of boys in Burlington. Troop 103 continues to benefit from his legacy today.
Unfortunately the Troop is away at summer camp this week and is unable to pay their respects in the way they would have. Mike also had an influence on many of the boys in Crew 1799 here in Burlington. They are in New Mexico this week.
I can't say enough good about Mike's dedication to the youth of our community.
