Agnes Frances “Frankie” (Ahearn) Smith, a resident of Burlington for 39 years, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Sunday, April 8, 2007. The beloved wife of Richard F. Smith, she was 74 years old.


Mrs. Smith was born in Lexington. She was the youngest of 12 children born to the late James M. and Ellen F. Ahearn. She was raised in Lexington and was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Cambridge. Mrs. Smith worked for the Telephone Company for a period of time. She then devoted her life to creating a home for her husband and her son.


Mrs. Smith is the beloved wife of Richard F. She is the loving mother of John Smith & his wife Cheryl of Wilmington and Worcester. She is the sister of Jane “Skippy” Leboda of Burlington, Elizabeth Ahearn of Arlington and the late Sr. Josephine Ahearn, Margaret O’Hearne, Arthur, James, William, Mary, Theresa, Catherine “Kay”, and Ellen Ahearn. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, April 12 from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
