Obituary of Denver Lowe
Denver Lowe, a Marine Veteran of WW II passed away after a long illness on Monday afternoon, February 27, 2012. Denver was born in Kettle Island, KY, the son of the late Carl and Ethel Lowe. He grew up and was educated in Straight Creek, KY. He proudly served in the Marines during WWII and continued his allegiance to the Marines as a member of the Marine Corp. League. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, Local 573 and was a long time employee at Baystate Service in Brookline. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and fresh & saltwater fishing. His greatest joy was the time spent his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Denver was the beloved husband of Phyllis F. (DiBenedetto) Lowe. He was the loving father of Carole Lowe of Medford, William & his wife Claire of Falmouth & Bonita Springs, FL and Beverly Obremski of Woburn. Brother of James of VA. He was predeceased by 3 sisters; Christine, Sylvia, and Mildred. Grandfather of Carole Reardon & her husband Rob of Billerica, Jennifer O’Neill of Billerica, David Obremski of Arlington, Stephanie Horton & her husband Allen of Hudson and Michael Lowe & his wife Trudy of Baltimore, MD. He was also survived by 9 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, March 1 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
