Obituary of Donald Brooks

Donald L. Brooks, a retired Maintenance Manager, passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Monday night, April 9, 2007. He was 55 years old. Donald was born in Waltham. His family resided in Somerville until he was age 9 and then settled in Burlington. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. Donald worked for North Suburban Business Center, formerly Boston Stove in Reading, for 38 years. He had excellent carpentry skills and eventually became a Maintenance Manager for the Company. He had resided in Burlington for the past 46 years. In his free time he enjoyed collecting coins and model cars. He also enjoyed working with computers. Donald was the beloved son of Mary (Hoarde) Brooks of Burlington and the late Elijah Brooks. He was the brother of Charlene Gioiosa of Medford and brother-in-law of Robert Gioiosa of Medford. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, April 14 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
