Obituary of Arthur Charles Wilson

Arthur Charles Wilson, a retired Watertown Firefighter, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Tuesday afternoon, October 18, 2016. The beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Dahl) he was 77 years old. Arthur was born in Greenfield, MA. He was the son of the late Warren and Mary Wilson. He was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School. Arthur was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1957 to 1960. He achieved the rank of Corporal and was the recipient of the Parachutist Badge. Arthur went on to have a long and distinguished 32 year career as a Firefighter in the Watertown Fire Department. Arthur and Peggy married in 1967 and moved to Woburn in 1983. He was a member of the Lexington Elks and the American Legion in Woburn. Arthur loved the outdoors whether it was fresh water fishing or golfing. He was also a fierce competitor when it came to Skeet Shooting. Arthur and Peggy were blessed to have 49 wonderful years of marriage. Arthur was the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Dahl). He was the loving brother of Doris Jane Saia of Framingham and the late Mary Hogan. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128 Woburn side) on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Services and Interment will be private. In lieu of flower memorials in Arthur’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472
